“At first I thought it was something like fireworks,” said the 23-year-old man , who requested anonymity for security reasons.
“Then there was another explosion and the ground started shaking. That’s when I realized something more serious was happening. My neighbors started screaming and running in the street, and I went outside my house and saw a huge wall of smoke.
The sky suddenly turned red and a few seconds later there was a loud bang in the air. There was silence for about 20 minutes and then we could hear plane sounds again, followed by two more explosions.”
“After that, everything started shaking. Although the explosions seemed controlled, it felt as if they had leveled the entire airport.”
“Now, two hours later, I haven’t heard any sirens from ambulances, police, or fire trucks.”
“The last bomb dropped 40 minutes ago. I haven’t heard anything since then, most of my friends and acquaintances are scared and uploading videos to their WhatsApp statuses. It’s complete chaos.”
